Chrissy Q&A

November 15, 2018

Name: Chrissy

Hometown: New Lenox

College: Northern Illinois University

Position at Haugaard: Senior Graphic Designer

What are your favorite hobbies?

Hanging out with my kids, hosting parties, playing games,

building or making creative projects.

What lead you to Haugaard Creative?

My Co-worker, Chris Nolan. He called my illustration teacher, Jay Bell, at NIU to find a graduating graphic designer. Jay passed my name on to Chris and I met with Phil Haugaard. The rest is history.

What is your favorite food?

Maggiano’s Cheese Ravioli and Nachos. Not together.

Why do you love working at Haugaard Creative?
Phil Haugaard always treated everyone as family. He was there for you and in turn you were willing to bend-over-backwards for him and the company.

What were you like in high school?

High School… I was an introverted “art kid”. My Dad taught math there and he was the football coach (Tough times for a 16 year old girl!). Dad also constantly put me in the spot light with my drawing skills. Made me feel special. College is where I came out of my shell.

What inspires you?

In life, in general, it’s the will to be happy and challenge yourself.

No matter what happens in life, if you’re busy, believe in yourself and keep smiling, you can do anything!

What is your favorite movie?

Shawshank Redemption

Silence of the Lambs

Elf

If you had just one box for all of your belongings, what would you put in it?

Aside from my kids, it would be a flash drive with pictures of them younger, car keys, my daughters inhaler, all of my family's Disney pins, credit cards and money, important papers and my calendar. OH! And my toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush, deodorant, and glasses!

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

I would live near my kids.
