Anyone in business knows it's easy to get wrapped up in the daily
grind of work. Luckily, there is always something to remind you of
the bigger picture and that what you are doing has more meaning
than just meeting a deadline.
We came across a newspaper article in The Week called "Relics from the Kitchen
Counter", which focuses on a small group of collectors who happily
spend thousands of dollars on old cereal boxes. We were intrigued and delighted when we saw that the Haugaard BFF, Cap'n Crunch,
was mentioned several times. We've been the steward of Cap'n Crunch
packaging for over 20 years, and just like these collectors we still have
vivid memories of eating a bowl of Crunch cereal while trying to
figure out the wacky maze on the back panel with our favorite cartoon
playing in the next room.
Cap'n Crunch and many of our other package designs are much more than
just a cardboard box. These packages have become pop culture icons,
evoke feelings of nostalgia, and as proved in The Week article,
provide years of adornment and entertainment. From the iconic red box
to seasonal and special edition boxes, Cap'n Crunch has continued to
captivate his loyal mates and we're not only glad but extremely proud
and lucky to be a part of the voyage.
