Every year there is a vote on what the Haugaard summer outing should be. River kayaking, brewery tour, and Arlington Race Track all would have been fun, but this year's winner was the perfect summer pastime... a rooftop Cubs game! Everyone rode the L to Wrigley Field in their blue and red attire and started the day off with unlimited food and beverages. The weather was perfect and the Cubs ended up beating the Rockies 3-2. Even though we have some Sox fans in the group, everyone had a great time. Take a look at all the fun we had!
This year’s annual summer outing was all about being tourists in our own city of Chicago. Idyllic weather – not too hot, not too cold – provided the perfect setting for our big day out. After a harsh winter and a rainy start to summer, the whole staff was in need of a sunny day to remind us of what a truly great city we live in! We started off with lunch at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. at the iconic Navy Pier. Since we do work in food packaging, we are never ones to underestimate the value of a good meal. Full of seafood and with some Forrest Gump movie trivia under our belts, we were ready to suit up for our Segway ride! Check it out:
